pressure equation in PISO or SIMPLE algorithm

Hi all
I have a question about pressure equation in PISO or SIMPLE algorithm please guide me in this problem
pressure equation is
laplacian(rAU, p) == fvc::div(rAU*UEqn.H())
but in OpenFoam rAU*UEqn.H() is interpolated on cell faces
why we do this work ?

I think just coz its interpolated on the faces, so it can be expressred by the flux.

I assume you are looking at incompressible flow solver. "rAU*UEqn.H()" here is actually velocity.
original equation should be "laplacian(rAU, p) == fvc::div(phi) "
phi = fvc::interpolate(U) & mesh.Sf();
U = rAU*UEqn.H()
You should look up Prof. Jasak's thesis, he talked about this in detail in his thesis.
