Hello!

Is it possible to generate a isotropic homogeneous turbulent flow field with OpenFoam and how long would it take for me as a OpenFoam beginner to finish that?

Thanks!

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't isotropic, homogeneous turbulent flow a contradiction?
I mean you need local inhomogeneities for turbulent behaviour and non isotropy even for laminar flow right? I mean how can you have flow if your volume (or space ) is isotropic and homogeneous? What would drive the flow?

Yes seboxx, you are wrong, homogenous box of turbulence is a historical case which is in center of interest. Uniform flow after a grid is homogenous if you move with the average velocity. and it decays unless you force it to preserve which is not physically possible but as a numerical method
