pipe flow with heated wall

Hello every body,

im new in OpenFoam and working in one Projekt and have a big time stress, i have to simulate a pipe flow with heat transfer, the heat is transfered from the wall to the fluid (Water) it can be also air, the problem as i thnik can be solved using the following solvers :

buoyantSimpleFoam for air/convection for example
buoyantbousinessqSimpleFoam for water

with heat conduction in the pipe

chtmultiregionFoam : air
chtmultiregionSimpleFoam : water

i just need turorials/Works with very similair cases, as mine, to can understand how these solver works

i ll be very thankful to ervery who can send me some thing useful.

as i said i very new in OpenFoam and i need a detailed exaples if its possible.

thank u very much,

my email adress is : AliAloui@yahoo.fr

Hey, im am also quite new to openfoam. if you receive any examples for that problem please let me know. I am working on a very similar problem and would be glad to see an example, too.

You don't necessarily need to run buoyantSimpleFoam for the air problem, if you use moderate heat differences, this can also be accomplished with buoyantBoussinesqSimpleFoam.

Also, the tutorial in heatTransfer/buoyantBoussinesqSimpleFoam should give you a good idea on how to set the boundary conditions for the heat transfer part. For the fluid flow part just take a look at simpleFoam tutorials (as the name suggests it uses the basic structure as buoyantBoussinesqSimpleFoam) in order to solve the incompressible momentum equations. There you will find help to set the inlet and outlet conditions for the fluid flow.

As for the boundary conditions for the heat transfer, use buoyantPressure instead of zeroGradient for the pressure condition.
