timeVaryingUniformFixedValue

Because it no longer exists:

http://www.openfoam.org/version2.1.0...conditions.php

The new way is a lot more general. Ever since the changes from 1.6->1.7 I've learned that its very important to read over the notes every new version that comes out from the OpenFOAM foundation, as sometimes major changes (like the deprecation of dieselSpray classes in 2.1.x) are mentioned there.

Hi, jignesh

You can handle time varying boundary condition with standard uniformFixedValue BC.
Please see following page,

Hi,

when I try to use the form of the time varying boundary condition reported in the above links for the scalar field pointMotionUy in a "wall" type patch the solver does not run. (v2.1.0)
I resolve the problem using the "old" timeVaryingUniformFixedValue.
But from http://www.openfoam.org/version2.1.0...onditions.php:
"The new handling of time-varying BCs makes the timeVaryingFlowRateInletVelocity, timeVaryingUniformFixedValue and timeVaryingUniformTotalPressure BCs redundant. They are therefore deprecated in v2.1.0."
The new form of the BC works only on "patch" type patch or it works only on some solvers?
Could anyone explain it?

Thanks
