I'm wondering if Paraview's point selection and recording functionality will let me both visibly mark points on or in a mesh surface as well as record their cartesian coordinates.

I need to collect a cloud of points that are homologous and repeatable on a variety of models to perform a morphometric analysis using principal components analysis. Will Paraview do this?
