Hi,

I'm fairly new to OpenFOAM and ParaView and have been playing around with the tutorials. One of the examples is the mixerVessel2D from the multiphase tutorials using MRFInterFoam. The calculation works fine and the results are plausible, but for the beauty of it all I would like to animate the rotation of the rotating domain.

I have been searching the internet and I found some examples on youtube but no information on how to do it. I would appreciate any suggestion,

Jack

Greetings Jack and welcome to the forum!

There are two possibilities:
  1. Animate only the camera movement: http://www.paraview.org/Wiki/ParaVie...ing_the_Camera
  2. Calculate the movement of the points and transform accordingly... problem is that for this one, you either need:
    • A time field pre-calculated, so that you can use with the normal calculator filter - see section "Working with Point Coordinates": http://www.paraview.org/Wiki/ParaVie...nt_Coordinates
    • ParaView built with Python, so that you can use the "Python Calculator" for calculating this rotation directly in code, or even by using the "Programmable Filter".
Best regards,
Bruno
