[OpenFOAM] Paraview on server for OpenFOAM post-processing

Hi.

I am using ParaView 5.7.0 host/client environment on a server which works quite good. My problem is that I use the ParaView for OpenFOAM, where the usual way of launching ParaView is to use the paraFoam-command.
When I run the ParaView-client on my local Windows PC, I cannot load a lot of the features elsewise loaded with the paraFoam-command, such as Lagrangian particles, cell zones, mesh groups and so on.

I can load these data using foamToVTK, but this generate a large amount of data and just takes up unneccesary convertion time.

Is there a way to load these features and extracted data sets into regular ParaView?

For anyone wondering, we found a solution.

The OF-plugin can be pre-loaded on the server using:

Code:

LD_PRELOAD=/opt/OpenFOAM/ThirdParty-7/platforms/linux64Gcc/ParaView-5.6.0/lib/libvtkpqCore-pv5.6.so.1

PV launched then using:

Code:

LD_PRELOAD=/opt/OpenFOAM/ThirdParty-7/platforms/linux64Gcc/ParaView-5.6.0/lib/libvtkpqCore-pv5.6.so.1 pvserver --force-offscreen-rendering
