CFD Diesel Engine modelling

Hello Guys,

I am fairly new to CFD and have been tasked to model the cylinder characteristics of a diesel engine using Phoenics. Particularly the scavenging characteristics. I have managed to do all the CAD work for the engine (using Solidworks) but the problem has been to export the CAD drawing. I have managed to export using the STL extension but Phoenics distorts the dimensions. I have looked just about everywhere for the method on how to do this but to no avail. I seem to find papers where the analysis has been done but no methodology to go about doing it. Is there anyone out there who could please point me to the right direction on doing this. Any help will be of great assistance.

Many thanks in advance

Mohammad
