Access to the surface value

It is easy to access to the center value of solved variables in every cell by Groud.for, but I'd like to know if PHONICS have some other means to access to the surface value of every cell, especially on the boundry ? Thanks

Re: Access to the surface value

It is very easy in Ver. 3.4 by Inform Function (New Capability) Please see the Encyclopaedia inside CHAM home page. You will find that Ver 3.4 is very powerful for this new function.

Re: Access to the surface value

Dear Liu

Velocity components: directly from PHI(PHIDA) files (if default solver option is used).

Solved scalar values: interpolation

Could you suppose the gradient of your solved scalar approximately constant throught your boundaries?

Re: Access to the surface value

Dear Richard:

I are using PHOENICS 3.3 for Winnt which was purchased in Sep.last year. I am sure I have found some bugs in the version. It is known that most software inc. provide their product user with once free-charge update after the purchase. I don't know if CHAM also can provide this service. If I want to update PHOENICS3.3 to 3.4 version, it is neccery to pay the addtion free?

Re: Access to the surface value

Dear Mr. Liu,

You should contact the agent in your location. I think that it is available to your PHOENICS updating. If it is not available, you should pay the maintenance fee for Ver.3.4 updating. You shall negotiate to the local agent or the CHAM company to find the way for updating your PHOENICS.
