2-phase + porous media done?

Has anyone done a simulation of 2 phase flow (gas plus fluid) in a fixed porous media? I looked through the available copies of the PHOENICS Journal and didn't see anything obvious- but I may have overlooked something.

Any suggestions on examples would be appreciated,

Thanks.

no

Does 'no' mean not as posted in the PHOENICS Journal or 'no' you don't know of any, or 'no' you yourself have not done any?

Porous media flow in fluent

Hello All,

I've tried to build the models of multiphase flow in porous media in Fluent.

Below are the simulation details,

1. It's a 2 phase Eulerian-Eulerian model (e.g. air & water)
2. Porosity needs to be defined (an UDF for radial distribution of porosity can also be incorporated)
3. Inertial & viscous resistances for both phases to be defined.
4. Schiller-Naumann drag law for momentum exchange coupling
5. What about "gas phase" diameter??? I've tried default and 5 mm value

However my experience is that simulation diverges after a long time.

Any body has done better?

Suggestions welcome.
