Hi everybody. can anyone tell how the earth access the gx file, including the grex3.for. if i change sth in this files, how can make it go into effect. should i recomplie and relink it?

another question is how to make user's own pil command in phoenics????

Yes, you need to re-compile the files which you have modified and re-link the EARTH executable.

Regarding your "another question", do you mean that you would like to add PIL command to a q1 file or create new PIL command which is not available in the software.

yes, I want to know how to add a PIL command to a q1 file or creat my own new PIL command. if user can do that, then we can creat individual PHOENICS, and PHOENICS will become more convenient.

Adding PIL command to a q1 file is straightforward if you know PIL command. It is not possible for you to create new PIL commands, but you can always use SPADAT(.. to expend the functionality of PIL. Please consult Encyclopaedia in POLIS for the information of SPADAT.

What is the version of PHOENICS you are using ?
