How to reuse q1 created by Phoenics V3.1 in V3.5

Dear all,
I have seriously problems in using q1 case file created by Phoenics V3.1 in V3.5 environment. Even the original mesh was changed in the new environment. The plate heat source was changed to adiabatic and etc. What should I do? To make things worse, I just couldn't find any documents to understand the Q1 language created by V3.1, such as: OBJXX, NAME, PERSON-S OBJXX, POSITION, X,Y,Z OBJXX, SIZE, DX,DY,DZ OBJXX, CLIPART, CUBE10 OBJXX, ROTATION,1 OBJXX, TYPE, PLATE OBJ55, POROSITY, 0 OBJ55, HEAT, 29.9 Does the heat mean watts? or watts/square meters? Seems in V3.5, heat normally means watts and hevt means watts/square meter. In addition, the original Q1 activate KERNG model and WDIS variable; however, when I rebuild the model in V3.5, it activate KERNG model and EPKE variable. Does this kind of change affect my convergence and result? Really appreciate all your help. Song |

A description of the Q1 settings created by Vr-Editor can be found in http://www.cham.co.uk/phoenics/d_pol...r326/q1set.htm. This refers to PHOENICS 3.5, but 3.1 was much the same. Information on changes between 3.4 qnd 3.5 can be found in http://www.cham.co.uk/phoenics/d_pol...s/tr002.htm#17. This information also applies to 3.1.
If your installaton has valid User Support, you can e-mail your Q1 (and any non-standard geometry files) to support@cham.co.uk, who can advise you on specific changes you may need to make. |

The PHIDA file is a direct-access unformatted version of the Earth output file, PHI. All the standard PHOENICS post-processors, VR-Viewer, PHOTON and AUTOPLOT can all read PHIDA files. AUTOPLOT produces X-Y graphs, the other two produce contour/vector flow visualisation plots. More information on AUTOPLOT is available in the POLIS Encyclopaedia under A. http://www.cham.co.uk/phoenics/d_polis/d_enc/auto.htm
Your question is too non-specific to give a more precise answer. |
