All,
My question is about setting the default background clour when saving the output to a gif / pcx file format. In V 3.3 & 3.4 I was able to set the variable PCX_Background = white in the CHAM.ini file and when saving to a pcx the file wouls convert from a black background onscreen to a white background when saved. I am currently using V 3.5 and this feature does not appear to be working. I am currently manually changing the screen background to white does anyone know of another way around this problem. Also in the drop down menu when saving a file to a graphics format the default is pcx - is there a way of changing to gif. Thanks Leon Mills |

Dear Leon
This is bug in PHOENICS 3.5 and I hope it is corrected in PHOENICS 3.5.1. I think the solution is available at support page of CHAM. Further, I find that if you save the image from window, all the options are there *.pcx,*.gif and *.bmp. The alternate solution is to open the *.pcx file using painbrush and save the image in different format.I hope it helps. Vikas |

In Version 3.5, the background colour can be changed on-the-fly from Option - Background colour, so it was decided to save the image with whatever background the user had chosen - pink, yellow, magenta, black, white....
In 3.5.1 the default format is gif. |
