I want to creat a wedge shape in VR through the shape libraries in PHOENICS, anyone knows how to rotate the wedge, and how to set its position? I have done for one case, but it is not what I need. Thanks in advance.

wyh,

In VR-viwer, open the object diaglog box - goto the buttum marked Rotation, use the flied noted as clipart. Cycle through until the correct rotation appears.

Note: It may be requires to put a plate on the flat sides of the wedge to get a correct flow aound the wedge.

Hope this helps - Leon

Dear Leon Thanks for your kind suggestion. Can you tell me why a plate should be put on the flat sides of the wedge for getting a correct flow aound the wedge? Thanks.

This was usggested to me by other users of this forum. Esentially, Phoenics works out temperatures... to the centre of the cell. A plates around the flat edges stops flow from 'esacping' around the edges of the wedge. I found this 'fix' works as without it I was getting flow around the wedges where the wedge should have blocked the floe through the entire cell.
