Dear all. I have 1.5.4 shareware PHOENICS. I tried to use nonuniform grid but I have failed. May be some one knows how to activate nonuniform grid in this version? May be someone has another variant of shareware PHOENICS where it is possible to activate nonuniform grid? Thank you very much in advance, Alexander.

Alexander,

By non-uniform grids are you talking about unstructured grids, or grids that are not linear in there distribution in a given plane.

Thank you for you answer. I take into mind the more simple variant: grids that are not linear in there distribution in a given plane. Alexander.

Hi Alexander,

If you wish to use non-BFC grids (i.e., Cartesian or cylindrical), use the command GRDPWR for x, y, z coordinates. It allows non-uniform cell distribution. For BFC grids, the GSET commands allow even more flexibility.

I hope this helps,

Rami
