bouyancy

Hi all,

I'm trying to simulate the bouyant flow in a naturally ventilated building at low wind speeds. I have outlets surrounding the domain to represent the atmosphere. The problem is that the flow starts to escape out the top outlet as soon as it leaves the inlet, this means that the flow has a strong vertical component even before it reaches the building. Has anybody any tips on how to approach this type of simulation. Any help much appreciated. thanks

You could try lowering the pressure coefficient of the oulet. This effectually weakens the pressure link to zero and may create a bit of resistance
