heat transfer coefficient?

Hi every one

I want PHOENICS to calculate heat transfer coefficient for my case study. I choose the "ON" for "HEAT TRANSFER COEF" and "STUNTON NUMBER" from following path in PHOENICS main menu: "menu/output/wall fuction printout" But when I run the program I see heat transfer coefficients are zero every where of fluid domain. What's wrong with it? Isn't it enough? What another thing I must do?

Best Regards

Re: heat transfer coefficient?

This can happen if the case is laminar, because the heat transfer coefficient and stanton number are computed via wall functions, and these are not visited in laminar flow. A way around the problem is to set ENUT=1.E-10, because this will then trigger the wall functions.

Re: heat transfer coefficient?

Where are you setting the HTC and Stunton Number in the VR-Editor? What version of Phoenics do you have?
