Hi all,

(Sorry for the long preamble.) I am currently a 2nd year computer science student helping with an automation/parallelization problem in the 'F1 in Schools program'.

The goal is to implement a genetic algorithm to optimize the shape of the race car. This would be implemented so that each client system would request a workload from the server. The workload would consist of a .stl file from ProE and several options for the Q1 file, such as grid size and number of sweeps.

My question is this: I've looked at the Q1 file and I don't see any options for specifying the actual shape of the car in the .stl file or in the .dat file. Are there any other files that determine what satellite writes into the EARDAT file? Is there a documentation page detailing the EARDAT creation process?

Also, this is more for cosmetic purposes, but are there any options that would force EARTH to output ASCII only? The AUTOPLOT display is useless to me because all results will be interpreted through .res files and reported to the server automatically without user intervention.
