Constant temperature boundary

Hi,

I have done several problems in PHOENICS. I have seen that the constant temperature boundary does not work as it should. For example if a body with constant temperature is kept in the path of flowing air and the temperature of the air is not the same as the body, the body temperature will slowly reach to the air temperature. Why does this happen?

Is this a steady or unsteady analysis? How are you fixing the temperature of the body?

Hi Mike,

This is steady state only. I am fixing the object temperature through 'fixed temperature' option....

With regds,

Re: Constant temperature boundary

Hi Ananta, Use INFORM sources and specify the thermal boundary condition. Also, check out Library Case #629 "Flow over heated bricks - Steady" for additional references.

Best Wishes, Allen
