question about a temperature dependent HTC

Hello I want to make a Simulation with heat transfer only, no flow, and temperature dependent heat transfer coefficients. Phoenics allows only a constant heat transfer coefficient. Knows anybody a solution for this problem, thanks a lot Christoph Ley

Re: question about a temperature dependent HTC

Do you mean you want to make a simulation with heat conduction only? Or do you mean the energy equation is solved with the hydrodynamics frozen and decoupled from the thermal solution? What are the two media between which the heat transfer coefficient controls the heat transfer rate? Or in other words what is the heat transfer coefficient intended to represent?

Dear Christoph, What version of PHOENICS are you using? If it is pre-2005 (V 3.5) then you need to edit it using either the INFORM editor or modify the appropriate subroutines and re-compile.

Best Wishes, Allen
