Error opening multi-block grid file

Hi

I made a grid in Gridgen and try to use it in Phoenics, when I load the case it gives the error:

" Error opening multi-block grid file
Error number 602 opening block +
**Unknown error code** "

I have 15 structured blocks, some have line domains, poles.

If someone could help me.

Regards

Hi info_bahaider.

Please contact our Technical Support team at 800-4PTWISE or support@pointwise.com. They'll be able to help diagnose the issue.

You should also contact CHAM user support at support@cham.co.uk and ask them to take a look at the grid files which were produced. There are two 'flavours' of multi-block files supported by PHOENICS - it isn't clear which one is supported by Gridgen.

When Gridgen exports PLOT3D it exports 3D multizone. In other words, the first line of the file is the number of blocks and the indices are all specified I,J,K. You can choose between ASCII/binary/unf and single/double precision. I don't know which of those flavors can be read by PHOENICS.

Gridgen also exports PHOENICS' native file.
