meassure distances

Hello guys,
I was wondering if you can somehow meassure the distance between 2 nodes at a connector (and generally the distance between 2 points). I know I can use the list menu (spacing constraints) in order to see the spacing parameter but this is only for the first and the last nodes. Another way I found is using examine or rules but these cannot be applied for all the cases needed. Thanks in advance for the help,
Nick.

ALT+RMB on first point - gives coordinate
ALT+RMB on second (and subsequent points) - gives coordinate and distance to last point

Some Linux desktops override the ALT, so CTRL+SHFT+MMB will work the same.
