Storing values for auto generated spacing

Hello everyone,

I'm new here, not very familiar with Pointwise, and I'm not exactly sure what to include in this. I'm having an issue with setting spacing. For some reason, I can not store the value for an auto defined spacing. Here are the pictures of my block of code and the spacing constraints.

What I'm trying to do is store the value for con-4.1 begin and con-4.2 end so that I can set con-1.1 begin and con-1.2 end to be the same values, respectively. I've made it work for user defined variables like $DMSpaceHalf in my code but I can not store the value of con-4.1 begin and 4.2 end by using getValue, all it returns is 0.0 and does not update the spacing. It might also be important to know that I have set a breakpoint at the X value of 0 so that my code could work for nozzles with diverging/converging sections and also for those with just diverging sections. Has anybody experienced a similar issue that you have find a solution for?

Nevermind. I managed to figure it out. I didn't realize that a value of 0.0, when used to set the spacing, causes Pointwise to automatically calculate the spacing. After spending forever trying to figure it out, I began to journal, selected the segment, and copied it. This ended up storing the value when I tested it with "puts" later.
