Zoom In problem (Grid distortion)
1 Attachment(s)
Hello,
I'm currently creating a structed mesh around a half simple geometry wing. The wing size is around 2900, unit = cm The first layer height near wing surface is 1.87e-4 The problem is that whenever i ZOOM IN around ANY vortex on the wing , the grid point on the connector near wing surface would jump irregularly, (usually, this kind of spacing won't cause such problem of displaying) I thought this was caused by a bad database (size too large) , but i tried different size and the problem remains Interestingly, Pointwise acts the same as GridGen More, I'v adjust the tolerances to match the model size , but it still didn't help. Oh, I almost forget that I'v confirmed that it's NOT a problem of Displaying 'cause i'v used Tecplot to check the mesh , and it's really distorted Can anyone solve this problem? Please........ http://fmn.rrfmn.com/fmn059/20140107...00ef6e125d.jpg |
Hello,
The problem should disappear when you switch on double precision graphics. In Pointwise, go to Edit, Preferences, and under the Graphics section enable Double Precision Graphics. |

It worked ! ^_^ |
BTW
In GridGen Double Precision can be set : Disp — FramBuf — Graphics Prec |
