Zoom In problem (Grid distortion)

1 Attachment(s)
Hello,

I'm currently creating a structed mesh around a half simple geometry wing.

The wing size is around 2900, unit = cm

The first layer height near wing surface is 1.87e-4

The problem is that whenever i ZOOM IN around ANY vortex on the wing ,

the grid point on the connector near wing surface would jump irregularly,
(usually, this kind of spacing won't cause such problem of displaying)

I thought this was caused by a bad database (size too large) ,

but i tried different size and the problem remains

Interestingly, Pointwise acts the same as GridGen

More, I'v adjust the tolerances to match the model size ,

but it still didn't help.

Oh, I almost forget that I'v confirmed that it's NOT a problem of Displaying

'cause i'v used Tecplot to check the mesh , and it's really distorted

Can anyone solve this problem?

Please........

Hello,

The problem should disappear when you switch on double precision graphics. In Pointwise, go to Edit, Preferences, and under the Graphics section enable Double Precision Graphics.

BTW

In GridGen
Double Precision can be set : Disp — FramBuf — Graphics Prec
