Build Topology in Pointwise & Local Surface Refinement

I am fairly new to Pointwise and i have been following Pointwise for quite some time and really interested in their T-Rex method. I have been trying out the free Trial Version now and would like to know is there any method to generate curves in Pointwise manually rather than the Software generating it for me. For example, just imagine a curved surface, which is usually generated by four bounding curves. I want to create a middle curve using any of the two parallel curves and delete the original ones. Is this possible in Pointwise ??

How do i do local surface refinement in Pointwise ?

Thanks in advance

The general answer is yes. Specifically, I'll point you to the Pointwise Do-it-yourself (DIY) page which has explanations for all the curve types.

Included is drawing a curve on an existing surface, which is one way you could create the middle curve - assuming you had the surface. If you don't have the surface and want the "middle" curve, OTOH, to do that you would need the average of the two curves. This could only be done with a script.

Let me know what your specific intent and/or application is and I'll point you in the right direction.
