Where can I find a DLR F6 mesh file ready to be loaded into pointwise?

Thanks for your help,

Hello Zeno,

The DLR-F6 mesh is not available on the Pointwise site. However, you can download the NASA CRM grid from http://www.pointwise.com/webinar/drag/ if you're interested.

Regards,
Travis

Check out the ftp site from 2nd Drag Prediction Workshop, which used the DLR-F6:

ftp://cmb24.larc.nasa.gov/outgoing/DPW2/

There are a bunch of pre-made grids available, some of which you might be able to load into Pointwise. Checkout the README.html for complete information. You might be able to import PLOT3D, structured CGNS or fully unstructured (no prisms) CGNS files depending on the versions.

This geometry was actually a unstructured meshing tutorial in Gridgen so you could check that out for tips if you want to go that route.
