Hi,

Is there an automatic sizing function in Pointwise as there is in ANSYS? The reason why I ask is because I need to grid the tip gap (clearance) for a compressor blade.

Thanks

Hi Jack. I've never used ANSYS so I'm not certain I know exactly what feature you're wanting but I think the answer is "no."

Best Regards

Thanks. Then do you have any clue how I would go about gridding a tip gap for a blade?

That's a really open-ended question depending on your grid type, the meshing method, the geometry, your goals for the simulation, etc. Because of that you might want to contact support@pointwise.com on Monday.
