Hello all,

I am new to Pointwise and I have a question regarding managing point distribution.

Suppose I have a straight line along x-axis from x=0 to x=50 and I have a specific point distribution on it. Now suppose I have a curve between x=0 and x=50 above the x-axis and I have the same number of grid points (dimension) on it.
I want to distribute the grid points on this curve in such a way that their x-location will match with that of the straight line, i.e., each line joining a point on straight line with that on the corresponding point on the curve will be parallel to the y-axis.

I have tried "copy distribution from" function without much use. It matches point distribution in terms of distance from endpoints of a segment but that results in skewed grid lines wrto y-axis. If anyone can guide me to correct way of achieving this, I will really appreciate that.

Thanks.

ni3d4888,

On the curved connector, change the distribution type to Spline and change the variable to X.
