Actually if you are not able to use parafoam. most porbablly "your paraview is not compiled or you don't have it in Thirdparty" dir.

what you can do is you can download paraview ready...

Will it be the same procedure for OpenFOAM-1.7.1. Coz when i have downloded i could not find and of the additional tools like gmesh, engrid, meshlab in thirdparty folder.
