Hi Danny, I renamed the file to "test.stl"...

Hi Danny,

I renamed the file to "test.stl" (OpenFOAM dislikes spaces and special characters) and ran:
surfaceCheck test.stlAnd it gave serious indications of a bad surface mesh on this geometry....

From the list of commands you've shown, the only problem I can see is that running simpleFoam right after snappyHexMesh might not work as expected.
I haven't tested the following cases...

How exactly did you run snappyHexMesh? Did you use the "-overwrite" option?
Because if you didn't use this option, then check the time folders "1", "2" and/or "3",...
