Thanks for your input. As far as I understood, I would need Tecplot to use gridpro.....we do not have it here, that is why I'm looking for a open source or free code...

I have been recently working with STAR-CCM+. The 3D meshing tools available are good but unfortunately the generation of a 2D mesh is quite painful and there is no way for you to generate...
