Because you need to turn on 'UNSTEADY tracking'...

Because you need to turn on 'UNSTEADY tracking' in DPM:
Models>DPM>click unsteady particle tracks

and solve the particles at the same time as the flow equations.

You could even do this right...

1) Get your solution converged in Transient form....

1) Get your solution converged in Transient form.
2) Turn on your DPM and then click on 'unsteady particle tracking' under the DPM setup.
Solve for further time periods.
This will solve particles...
