1) Mac OS X does not use ZFS in the installation - still does use the mac os x extended journaled - I do not see ZFS...

thanks a lot for the patch and all the instructions ! I was able to compile everything including Paraview 2-4 on my MacBook Pro and it works really well ! I have only one remaining...
