Hi,
I believe there is a problem with my profile. Thus I've defined an avatar, but I never see it. There is always an invisible picture linked to this profile address which is wrong: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/members/max.html if I correct to the right profile name, it returns the right profile's page, ie: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/members/-mAx-.htm I suppose the problem would be linked to this issue Cheers |

I can not reproduce your problem. Your avatar is displayed correctly and if I click on your avatar or on your username I am correctly sent to your "-max-.html" profile. How did you do to be sent to the "max.html" profile?

I simply click on my nickname or on my avatar.
I tried from home with OSX (Firefox) and from the office XP (Internet Explorer). I checked once again... same result BUT as soon as I post, I can see the avatar and the links are ok. If I navitage somewhere else and come back on the previous page (where I was able to see avatar), it disappears. |

Strange. I just tried it both with Firefox and IE on XP and with Firefox on Linux and all of them work well, show your avatar as they should and link correctly to "-max-.html" if I click on the avatar or on your username. It is a bit difficult to debug a problem you can't reproduce yourself. Is anyone else here able to reproduce these problems?

I made a printscreen for what I get once I posted.
As you can see the last post is ok with the avatar, but my previous post is still without visible avatar and you can see the mouse pointer on my nickname, the value of the link is shown at the botton the the web page |

Yes there is obviously a problem for you. I hope that it is something either related to your setup (browser, computer, network connection, firewall, antivirus, ...) or something that only you as that user can see. I am unable to reproduce this problem. If you logout from the forum and visit as a guest how does it look then?
I would guess that the problem is somehow related to the use of the "-" character in your username. If you want we can change your username to something without "-" in it to see if that works better. |

Okay, then I guess it is a problem only for you. If you want to see your own very nice avatar we can try to switch to a username without a "-" in it to see if that helps. Let me know if you want to try that.

Jonas just reported the bug to the software vendor. Hopefully they will find a solution. The problem is most likely caused by a bug in vbSEO, which we use to optimize the forum addresses and make if extra friendly for search engines like google.

They were quick in responding. We have changed a setting now. Are you still seeing this problem?

Perfect. It is good with good support. Credits to vbSEO here. They responded to our bug-report with a fix in just a few minutes.
