5th Order VOF Wave

Hi everyone,

I am running a simulation on a boat and using DFBI tutorial for reference, but I try to use the 5th order VOF wave instead of 1st order VOF wave in the tutorial.

my question is, in 5th order there is an additional velocity, from what I understand this function is to explain additional velocity that came from the boat. basically, the inverse of boat velocity. am I right?

and if I put the value in the additional velocity, do I have to put the same value on the initial velocity in DFBI-6DOF body to?

Thanks :)

please, does anyone know. need some help here.

Hmm depends on your problem, are you running a ship moving in constant speed?
And if you are running in the ship reference frame, the initial velocity of the ship should be 0.

yes, I'm running the ship in constant speed. so should i put a value on inital value or in additional velocity?

and what do you meen by 'running in the ship reference frame'?
