How to perform a simulation of body moving in a sinusodial path underwater in STARCCM

1.I want to simulate a body moving underwater in STAR CCM+ in a sinusoidal pattern. Can anybody help me with the steps involved. How can I get forces , moment, Lift and drag as a function of time ?

Are you doing a planar motion mechanism (PMM) experiment?

I've done this exact thing using the Rotation and Translation Motion module in combination with a user-defined field function to give a sinusoidal velocity.

Hi,

No, not doing a PMM. I'm actually trying to simulate the motion of an underwater vehicle. The issue is something very specific, I think I was unclear the first time. Linking to the new thread -- http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/sta...tml#post407067

Thanks a lot, though!
