Holes In Mesh after Converting to 2D

2 Attachment(s)
Hello Everyone,

I am trying to model a wind in 2D using a polyhedral mesh, prism layer and surface remesher.

The 3D mesh is good but I am having an issue when I convert my 3D mesh to 2D, it leaves holes in the 2D prism layer mesh where there used to be cells in 3D!

I thought it might be a display problem, but when I tried to simulate flow over the wing, Star ccm took the gaps in the mesh to be solid!

Its not a memory problem either as i've tried running it on the supercomputer and still no improvement. With a cell count of 400,000 to 1.5million.

has anyone got any ideas??

I was having similar problem. This is what I figured out.
If you have created multiple 'regions' then you need to make interface amongst them and then use different mesh continua for every region.

This should work.
