Vortex Core Location

Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to find the coordinates of a vortex core? When I use the Vortex core function in derived parts, a sporadic line appears, but it doesnt seem to go through the place where the greatest vorticity is.

Thanks

Bump...

Hi there,

Did you get any where with this as i'm looking to do similar.

I have planes set up parallel to the rear face of the Ahmed body i am modelling (so my x value s known, but also need the 'y' and 'z' values). Using the vortex core tool, I only get lines, not the point projected to the plane - is there away to do this?

Thanks,

RupeB
