Sectional Force on Section of Wing

Hello everybody,

I have a wing, I create a section of the wing at some location by creating a plane with the wing as input.

Then how do I get the sectional force, say in some direction, of this section?

I was thinking of doing so by Line Integral and select the derived part but I am having troubles.

Can anyone help please??

Thanks

Could you please elaborate on what you are trying to archive? Do you want a scalar plot over the entire wing of aerodynamic force in a specific direction or do you need to report forces on a specific section of the wing?

Hi there,

For that specific section of the wing (listed as DERIVED PART) I would like to find the sectional drag coefficient.

Hope it's more clear.

Thanks

I think a more elegant approach would be to divide your wing into sections at parts level, then refer your wing sections to independent boundary's in the same region. This way to can report force coefficients on different sections separately.

Reason for this suggestion is that I am pretty sure you cannot create a force report on a derived part (there are workarounds using user field functions, but its complex and time consuming).
