Hello, this is my first post on this forum - I have already searched for what I am looking for.

I am relatively new to Star, so please no laughing at my question!

I am looking to import velocity profiles and maybe Turbulent Energy profiles into Star (from excel?) Is this possible? Is there a database somewhere with profiles which I can import?

Many thanks for any help which you can give.

Hi friend,

I see you are new as am I, however I have been working upon CFD for a few years now.

Can you please tell us more about this problem?

It is very hard to answer vague questions unless you want me to post a vague answer. There are several problems with importing profiles such as different dimensions and meshes for example...

I look very much forward to hearing your response.

You can import CSV style files using Tables. Look in the "Tools" section near the bottom of the work tree.

From there, you can interpolate the data onto your mesh using a field function or directly use the values as your Initial Conditions (or even boundary conditions). There should be somethign in the help files to show you how to do all this.
