Hi Users,
I have created cylinder filled with glass beads. I want to pour one big bead (projectile) on the static bed of glass beads to study sinking depth. Please anybody guide me how o create just one big projectile and let it fall on the granular bed?
thanks in advance!!

Have you tried reading the tutorial, because it has been illustrated how to use DEM, or you have specific problem in applying DEM?

Thanks Sir for replying!
I have gone into tutorial carefully. There is no way to control the number of particles but I have apply my own trick and now I can pour particles according to my wish!! But there is no way to define specific wall type. For example I want to create bottom wall of cylinder with another material than side wall's material. I have digged out whole tutorial but failed to get one. Please can you guide me in this connection?
Thanks!!

It is possible to change the properties of a wall to the values as you wish. What is the specific reason that you want to change your wall material. which property is of interest?

I want to interact glass beads with bottom wall differently than glass beads and side wall. For example, to define young's modulus, restitution and friction between glass_beads - bottom_wall and between side_wall - glass_bead differently. Please can you suggest me tutorial on such example?
Thanks
