Low Mesh Frequency Cutoff
 

Hi all, in my wind turbine simulation I got very low mesh frequency cutoff of maximum 700Hz when the velocity was 8m/s. then I increase the number of mesh cells around the wind turbine blade and refined the meshes. Then in the same conditions I got 1500Hz for the maximum mesh frequency cutoff. Do you think this low number is only because of low velocity and reynolds number or there is an error in my simulation?

The mesh frequency cutoff is also related to your mesh size. The mesh must be sized correctly to allow proper resolution of the pressure wave.
