Hi guys,
I've been doing some research already, but didn't find a proper solution for the following problem: I want to generate some User-Field functions for my VOF-simulation that accumulate certain quantities over the simulation-time (e.g. total mass flow through a cell or a flow length [from inlet to a certain location]). As for the flow-length (s) I know from other software-packages that for Eulerian-Grids it works like this: 1) s0=0 2) calculate flux through the cell 3) s1=Cell size 4) hand over s0+s1 to the next cell (depending on the velocity vector) Of course inaccuracies can arise in circulation zones. Cheers |

Take a look at field sums in the user guide.

Cheers, didn't think of that!
But is there a possibility to use the sum per element and not per selected region? The sum-report usually returns only one scalar value for the selected Region/Part |

No, not a sum report. A field sum is different. Look it up in the user guide. It has a single value for every cell.

Wow. I didn't even know of Field Monitors. Thanx a lot :>
