Hi all,

I wish to simulate the ship shown in the link above in a 6DOF movement in waves. I am aware the geometry has to be processed and formed in a certain way to ensure it can work as a STAR-CCM simulation. I have completed the tutorial "DFBI in Head Waves" so I feel slightly confident I can get the simulation working if I get it into the right format.

The two images attached to this feed are of my actual vessel I want to use and the boat in the tutorial simulation.

Can anyone give me tips of how to get this vessel into the correct format for simulation?

Do I have to draw it in a half (symmetrically down the center-line) or can it be converted within STAR-CCM itself?

Thank you for your time.

Kind Regards,
Aitken Mitchell.

I can't believe I missed that... I have been studying the DFBI head waves tutorial for weeks and transferred it for this one.
