Hello guys,

I'm a new user to Star-CCM+ .I’m trying to simulate the flow in a pipe with actuated valve at the outlet. Is it possible to open the valve at five different locations 0, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% of the diameter? Also, how can I simulate the valve to be opened 25 % of the diameter after 5 sec and 50% after 10 sec from the running time?

Thank you so much,

Hey, i guess u imported the valve from the tutorials right? If yes, you couldnt change the opening of the valve. If you really need to do so, you need to construct the valve yourself and u can adjust the opening freely.

Regards.
