please, could any one tell me how to calculate Swirl Velocity

I have and radial and tangential velocities

Unless I am mistaken, swirl velocity is just another term for tangential velocity. The only trick in extracting it from star-ccm+ is making sure that the axis definition for your region is correct. Otherwise your velocities might not make any sense.

That being said, if you mean to ask how to calculate the angular velocity (i.e. rpm, rad/s, etc) all you have to do is define a field function. Specifically:

$TangentialVelocity/$RadialCoordinate (i.e. omega=Vt/r).

Then you can either get the volume or mass average of the fluid in your duct OR setup a mass flow average report that gives it at a plane.
