Overlapping grid

Does anyone know how to generate overlapping grid in STAR-CCM+?

There are now support for overlapping (overset) grids in Star-CCM+ right now. It was only promised for some future release.

mesh overlapping is attractive, but the cpu time may become much higher.

Apologies for my ignorance, but what is an overlapping grid?

It is called "overset grid" more often

STAR-CCM+ (and STAR-CD) do allow overlapping grids at present for doing heat exchangers and heat transfer cases like automative radiators - maybe this is what you mean.

Otherwise offset (Chimera) grids is a promised feature (one of the last great features to be transfered from the related code Comet).
