forces acting on particles

Hy,
is there a solution to explicitly quantify the dimension of forces acting on particles (or just on a particle) in a transient two phase flow simulation?
Thankx in advance.

Are you looking for an equation or are you trying to find out if STAR CCM+ has an option to do this?

Any idea is welcome! In fact i want to determine the order of magnitude for the forces that are acting on particles during a simulation.
Thanks.

Hello,

Check out the following thesis. I'm sure many more resources are available, but this is the one I constantly refer to as he was my colleague.

http://scholar.lib.vt.edu/theses/ava...132005-150649/

He also has a couple of papers where he has described these terms in detail.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reference. I'm reading it.
