May i know how can i import gridgen mesh into CCM+? what type of file format must i use to save in gridgen to achieve this? How can i do this in CCM+

Hello again. I just answered your similar question about going from Gridgen to STAR-CD. Since you also have questions about the native interface to STAR-CCM+, let me take another approach to this issue.

If you want to export solver-compatible files from Gridgen, you first choose the solver from the Select Analysis Software menu. Then, you look for the Export Analysis Data command. In the case of STAR-CCM+ you'll produce a file that STAR-CCM+ can read directly.

i have followed the steps as you have said. but, it is still not working. the part of choosing solver is ok. there is having problem in exporting part. so you please explain elaborately.

Is it much work in Gridgen to "clean" and "repair" the Import Surface?
I often have the problem that surfaces looks pretty nice in Catia etc. but in CCM I have many holes and interceptions. Often too much to repair it with CCM step by step...

Gridgen provides two approaches to dealing with CAD problems like those you describe. Fault Tolerant Meshing provides an approach where the CAD data is meshed as is and the grid is healed (merged) over the gaps.
