Hello everyone, I am having some problem using star CCM+ for my model. I was trying to use a specific function for my fully-developed velocity inlet. As my model is a pipe, the profile function is V(r)=Vmax*[1-(r/R)^2].
I am not sure how to compile user defined function in star ccm+. Thanks in advance for the assistance.

One way to due is by creating a table having i, j, k velocities and position data and applying it as a boundary condition. But you may have to take lot effort for creating a table.

Shouldn't V(x,y)=Vmax*[1-(sqrt(Position(0)^2+Position(1)^2)/R)^2] do it?
With position corresponding to the location in your x and y coordinate if we suppose your inlet lies in the x-y plane?
